Fallen 44

OMG! Haven't blogged for how many days now? Sorry been very busy lately. What's keeping me busy? Oh, i'm busy watching TV Series. I'm hooked with these TV Series so far: Penny Dreadful S1, Z Nation S1, The Flash S1 and Home Land S1, S2, S3 and S4. There are so many TV Series to watch for!! Next is Sleepy Hollow, Arrow and Game of Thrones! :)

By the way, It's National Day of Mourning. My heart goes out to their souls, friends and families. Thank you for protecting our country! They are our New Heroes! Lets not forget that, ever! Salute!

These are the names and faces of the Philippine National Police-Special Action Force's fallen heroes. They were killed in Mamasapano town in Maguindanao last Sunday during a clash with Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) members and Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF). The elite cops' mission was to serve arrest warrants to two suspected terrorists—Malaysian Jemaah Islamiyah leader Zulkifli bin Hir also known as Marwan and Filipino bomb maker Abdulbasit Usman.

Let us all pray for them. RIP. We salute you! #Fallen44 #NationalDayOfMourning #Respect #Gratitude #Justice

A Day Filled With Fun

January 11, 2015, Sunday was my eldest son's field trip. Assembly time was 5:00 am and the bus was supposed to leave at 5:30 am. We got there a little late like around 5:40 am. The bus left at 5:50 am and there were two students with 2 companions that were left behind coz they didn't come on time. I just hope there's a refund. The fee is Php1,000 per head. We paid Php3,000 (Vivo, Me and Mazie) Vinno was free of charge.

We first went to Gardenia Factory, we arrived there at around 7:00 am. We watched the process of how they make the bread. Machines do all the works. Amazing!

Gardenia uses the traditional American Sponge and Dough bread-making method to bake you that soft-textured loaf with a tender crust and distinct taste. This unique method ensures that Gardenia's bread stays fresh longer and tastes so good you can even eat it on its own.

Step 1: Automatic blending
The production process begins with a computerized blending of the exact amount of quality ingredients needed. This helps to ensure equal goodness in every loaf.

Step 2: Production of sponge mix
The specially formulated Gardenia enriched flour, purified water, yeast, vitamins and minerals are added together to form the sponge which is released into a trough.

Step 3: Fermentation room
The sponge dough is then kept in a fermentation room, under controlled temperature and humidity for four hours, so that carbon dioxide is released, and the sponge can rise. This fermentation process helps the sponge to develop a unique Gardenia bread texture, aroma and taste.

Step 4: Production of dough mix

At this stage, the sponge is mixed again with other ingredients to form the dough. Depending on the type of bread to be baked, these can include skimmed milk powder, vegetable shortening, wheatgerm, bran, malt or honey.

Step 5: Divider
The dough is then divided into the required weight for each loaf and conveyed to rounder.

Step 6: Rounder
At the rounder, each piece of dough is kneaded so that carbon dioxide is trapped and the bread can develop soft texture when it is baked.

Step 7: Checkweigher
The dough piece then go through the checkweigher. Here, piece that are over or under the required weight are automatically rejected.

Step 8: Intermediate proofer
the dough is then left to rest in the intermediate proofer for 10 minutes before being moulded and placed into the baking pan.

Step 9: Moulder
Here, the dough is shaped according to the desired configuration and then automatically placed into the pan.

Step 10: Automatic lidder
The pan are lidded automatically to give the bred it uniform rectangular shape.

Step 11: Final proofer
At this final proofer stage, the yest is allowed to rise further under controlled temperature nd humidity.Once the dough has risen to the desired height, it is finally ready for baking.

Step 12: Tunnel oven
Here, Gardenia bread are baked for about 20 minute at a temperature of approximately 200 degree Celsius in the state-of-the-art tunnel oven.

Step 13: Automatic delidder and depnner
Hot from the oven, the freshly baked loaves are then removed by vacuum suction before being conveyed to a bread cooler.

Step 14: Bred cooler
This bread cooler can holdup to 8000 loaves of bread per hour. The freshly baked and hot bread loaves need to be kept in the cooler for about an hour until  slightly above room temperature before it is ready for packing.

Step 15: Automatic slicer and bagger
when the loaves are sufficiently cooled, it is then ready to be sliced, wrapped and made convenient for consumption in attractive Gardenia.

Step 16: Daily delivery
In the early hour of the morning when most people are still asleep at about 3am, Gardenia begins preparation for its daily deliveries, 364 days a year. The freshly baked bread are tacked into the Gardenia's fleet of delivery trucks seven days a week, come rain or shine and delivered to some 3000 retail outlets throughout Singapore.

After that, we went to the private resort which is 15 minutes away from Gardenia Factory. There we had our breakfast, lunch and snack. The water was really warm and the place is really nice and cozy. The kids enjoyed swimming. Too bad i had my period at that time so i wasn't able to swim. I took a nap since there are air-conditioned rooms available.

We left the private resort at around 3:50 pm and arrived my son's school at around 5:20 pm. Finally got home safely at around 6:00 pm. We really had so much fun! This won't be the last. It was truly a fascinating trip!

Kids fell fast asleep. They must be really tired. By the way, Vinno didn't give me a hard time during the entire trip. He was so behave! Thank heavens!

Feeling Excited

Hello there! i'm back! :) Haven't blogged for 4 days. Just been very busy lately with household chores, movie marathon haha and reviewing my daughter for her exam this January 20, 2015. It's better to prepare her in advance. Anyway, on January 11, it's my eldest son's field trip, we're all coming and we're all excited!! We're going to Laguna by the way. I just hope Vinno will not give me a hard time during our trip. It's a long trip i know. So i expect him to be in his best behavior :) So mommies, any suggestions on how to keep Vinno well behave during out trip? Maybe keeping him busy with the Ipad will do. So i need to download all his favorite cartoons and i might also bring his favorite toys to keep him occupied.

By the way, have you watched the movie "The Count Of Monte Cristo"? It was aired year 2002 and i really liked it. It is expedient that you watch this movie :)

I just watched all Chris Evans' Movies. I love him to bits! He's my second ultimate crush in Hollywood! What about you? Who's your ultimate crush in Hollywood?

Why so hot?

Vinno's Fond Of Minions

My youngest son always watches Despicable me 1 and 2. He loves minions! So i decided to make him Minion Paper Dolls. I searched online for printable Minion Paper Dolls and i got so lucky!! It's very easy to make. You just need scissors, double tape, scotch tape, glue and hard paper. I didn't follow the instructions though. I used double tape and scotch tape to stick the edges to make it last long. Vinno's the one who's gonna play with it so i have to make sure it won't easily break.

By the way, here's the link for the Minion Paper Dolls - http://tyumenb.deviantart.com/art/minion0eyeV2-386319379

Have fun!

Tools needed. You should glue the printed paper to a harder one like this box from bear brand to make it sturdy.

The finished product! Aren't they the cutest?

Short Hair Don't Care

Okay. I rebonded and dyed my hair last Dec 26 and rebonded it again after 3 days coz i missed some spots and it made my hair really dry and damage at the front. I was about to grow my hair long and this happened. So i decided to cut it short and have a short hair again. I think I've been having short hair since 2011 after i gave birth to Vinno. Now, i am thinking of cutting it really short like a pixie hair cut. I can still see the dried and damaged hair and i really can't stand it. Di ako mapakali, seriously! But pixie hair is way too short and i guess it won't suit me. Oh well! Argh! I guess i have to rest my hair to any chemicals. I am currently using Keratin Hair Reconstructor Cream and it helps a little. My hair is not straight, it's wavy. That's why Vinno got wavy hair, he inherited that on me :)

I started straightening my hair since High School. Imagine that? Before it was "Relax" Then "Rebond". What's the difference between the two? Relax is way too strong. The chemical is too strong that's why it hurts your scalp and skin once the chemical touched it. It takes an hour before you can rinse it. No need to iron hair afterwards. Just conditioner and you're all set. It lasts for 6 months on wards. Rebond, there are 3 steps. First, the straightening cream, then neutralizing cream and last is the conditioning cream. You will apply first the straightening cream of course, make sure to fully cover all your hair, it's much easier if you layer your hair, then you'll leave it on your hair for like 25 mins or longer, depending on your hair quality. Rinse it off with clean water , towel it and blow dry until it's 80% dry. Iron hair and make sure to section hair thinly. After that, apply the neutralizing cream, make sure all your hair are covered, do it layer by layer to make it easier, leave it on for 15- 20 mins, then rinse with clean water. Lastly, the conditioning cream. Spread gently on the hair and leave it on for 5 - 10 mins, let the hair completely absorb the nourishment, towel dry and blow dry if desire.

I used Hair Milk Rebonding with Amino Acids. It's gentle on the scalp and skin. I also did my own haircut. Hubby was dumbfounded coz it was really straight at the back, seriously! So me naman, i'm kinda proud of myself haha! Why did i do my own haircut? Simply because i don't trust Salons anymore. The last time i had my haircut at a Salon, they cut it really short, as in! I can see my nape and it didn't look good! I said cut just one inch of my hair but he cut longer than that. Well maybe it depends on the Salon, but that Salon that did my hair before was expensive and known. Anyway, i did my own haircut, so what? At least it looks good and straight and i'm satisfied.

In this photo, i didn't wet my hair for 2 days so the natural oil of my hair came out. I love this look :)

In this photo, i just used shampoo and i'm regretting it. I should have used Keratin afterwards. My frizzy, dried and damaged hair is so obvious. Lesson learned, i know! :D

This photo was taken just a while ago. I just used Keratin, no shampoo or whatsoever. Took a small portion of my hair in front from both sides and tied it at my back. My hair in front is voluminous, so i  need to lessen some hair.

By the way, the color of my hair is Mahogany :)
