Eye Shadow 101 :)

Ever wonder if you can use eye shadow in a different way other than your eyes? Well you can! You can make a colored nail polish by using these...

Tools needed:
1. clear nail polish
2. eye shadow (desired color)
3. funnel (you can use a rolled paper and make sure it will fit the hole of your nail polish bottle)

First you need to use the funnel and make sure it perfectly fit the hole of your nail polish bottle then scrape off some eye shadow into the funnel.  Since the nail polish bottle is clear, you can check if the color is okay. You can put as many scraped eye shadow if you want to have nice colored nail polish. By the way, i used a powdered eye shadow so no need for me to do the scraping thing :) I just put it straight into the funnel then i mixed it all up. Make sure the lid is closed coz you really need to shake the bottle real hard. Then voila! Instant desired colored nail polish!

I used the golden brown and dark gray eye shadow.

By the way, i used my son's nails as my model coz i currently have a polished nail. Good thing he said yes. haha But removed it immediately after i took the pic. Loving my new colored nail polish!

Feeling Makeup Artist :P

Oh my! I haven't blogged for 2 weeks! Been very, very busy watching TV Series! haha. last Saturday (Valentine's Day) my husband's cousin asked me if i can do her hair and make-up for her senior night coz she doesn't wanna spend money and was too lazy to go to the salon and there's no nearby salon in our place. And since i wasn't busy at that time, i said yes! What was i thinking?! I don't even know how to put make-up and i said yes? Good thing there's YouTube and my mom-in-law left her make-up kit to my daughter! So i rushed to the computer and watched some tutorials on how to apply make-up. I even asked my daughter if she can be my model, so i can practice on her. She said yes luckily! I am really not into make-ups coz i don't put make-up on my face and maybe because i don't know how. But when i started watching some tutorials, i didn't expect that applying make-up would be that fun! Well, applying it to other people not to myself. FYI, i know how to put lipstick on :)

So after watching like 5-6 tutorials, it was time for me to start her hair and make-up. I started fixing her hair. I used my flat iron to curl her hair. Yup, i know how to curl a hair using flat ceramics iron. I curled her hair for like an hour coz her hair is really thick. I sectioned her hair first. I took about half inch of her hair so it will curl up easily. After i'm done with her hair, it's time to apply make-up! Since there was no liquid foundation, i used concealer instead. So i put concealer all over her face. She really has a smooth face, no blemishes so i didn't know if the concealer i used can really cover up blemishes. By the way, the brand of the concealer is Avon. After that, i started applying eye shadow. I did the smokey eyes thingy but i aint sure if i did justice on that. hehe. I used purple, white and gray eye shadows from StageLight. Then i put some Maybelline face powder using a brush on her face then i applied cheek tint on her cheekbones. There's no blush on and i only have cheek tint which was given to me just last week by my sweet sister. It's Ever Bilena cheek tint. On her lips, i used a pink lipstick which was a gift to me last year on my birthday. The brand is Ever Bilena too. I put mascara on her eye lashes and the brand is Maybelline. I didn't put eye liner on her eye lids coz she didn't want to and coz i was too scared of hurting her eyes. I also didn't curl her lashes coz i might hurt her.

Here's the picture of my husband's cousin. By the way, her gown looked good on her. She was wearing high heels like 3 inches long so i suggested to just wear socks so it won't hurt her feet since she's wearing a long gown, peeps won't recognize it. :)

Fell free to criticize my make-up techniques haha. It was my first time. Seriously!

I am scheduled to do my sister's hair and make-up for her masquerade ball on March 7, 2015 ;)
